Jichan's Onigiri is a Japanese onigiri rice ball shop located in Monterey Park, California. Popular for their unqiue flavors that captures the heart of the San Gabriel Valley, their place is the perfect place for a snack or meal.
As a creative director tasked with creating a video for the restaurant, I wanted to promote three ideas: community, bonding through food, and made with love.
I spent the summer of 2021 getting people of all ages and backgrounds to be in the video to enjoy Onigiri, as well as directing, shooting, and framing the shots. During the editing process, I kept close communication with the store owner to help their vision come to life.
